An exceptionally easy-to-follow and beautifully photographed guide to making cold-process soap. The book starts with a comprehensive yet very readable section on the different types of oils, fragrances, additives and colouring available, as well as a list of all the equipment you will need, most of which is readily available in most homes. There's a wide range of different soap recipes to choose from, from vanilla and star anise, to honey and wheatgerm and black cardamom & argan oil - something for all tastes and styles. All beautifully shot in gorgeous settings. The book ends with a glossary of soaping terms, an extremely useful trouble-shooting guide, and a comprehensive list of worldwide suppliers and online forums

- Biographical or historical data
- Joy James is a self-confessed craft-a-holic, having crafted nearly all her life. She has taught several different crafts, both privately and for a further education college where she was also an internal verifier for the City and Guilds Creative courses. Joy has supplied the National Trust with her soaps, and the first edition of this book has been a sell-out success.
